The Post Graduate Diploma in Management lasts six trimesters, spread over two years, with a summer project in between. The first year students are exposed to basic concepts in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Quantitative methods, Operations and Behavioural Sciences through the "Core Courses". These lay the foundation for all the functional areas of management to help develop problem solving skills. In the second year, students specialize in functional area of their interest.

Specialization Marketing

Marketing as a discipline observes the entire business process as consisting of a firmly integrated effort to determine, generate, awaken and gratify customer requirements. Since marketing progresses with time, it is a critical consideration while designing the marketing curriculum. The nature of consumers and solutions crafted in response by business firms, change both incrementally and drastically over time. A comprehensive analysis of this ever-evolving marketing world and its incorporation into marketing learning is what guarantees an up-to-date curriculum of the Marketing Area. A curriculum in effect is limited until delivery. What truly enhances marketing learning at the School is a faculty that consists of top-notch academics and practitioners. Specialization Finance

The Finance Area in the School of Business is unique in its own way. It keeps pace with the evolving world of finance and brings into its curriculum the current developments and innovations that make the course contemporary and up-to-date. The faculty is a good mix of core academicians and industry experts who have come together to design and deliver knowledge that will give finance students the distinct advantage of being market-ready when it comes to placement. This is accomplished through periodical curriculum review based on the input of all the stakeholders, including industry experts, recruiters and students. After completing the programme, students can look at several options such as equity research, credit analysis, wealth management and investment banking and treasury management, as career paths. The whole academic exercise revolves around the commitment of the Area to stimulate intellectual curiosity and provide an assurance of learning. Specialization Media

The study of Media Management is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach. It is designed to impart technical knowledge, scientific fundamentals and methods which are understood as application-oriented prerequisites of the media industry. The need of the hour is professionals with more in-depth knowledge of Journalism, Advertising, Animation, Public Relation, Event Management, TV Production/Direction, as today the media industry often converges and works very closely. Media experts with thorough industry knowledge are recruited not only by media but other industries like manufacturing, public administration and other institutions. The “close-to-the-market” infrastructure and a great number of visiting lecturers coming from the media industry will make it possible for the students to leave the course as a media expert equipped with a sound academic education. Likewise, they would be capable of working in a team and would be success-driven.
